I have been loving all of the multi-use foundation and concealer sticks that I have been seeing around. I just reviewed one that’s more of a high-end makeup buy, but totally worth it. You can check out which product I’m talking about here. It’s awesome when one product can pretty much do it all. Recently, I purchased the new Maybelline Super Stay Multi-Use Foundation Stick for my Florida vacation. I really put it to the test by wearing it on really hot days and serious humidity. I’m ready to tell you how it worked with my oily skin.

For my vacation, I was looking for a foundation that I could bring that wasn’t too big, easy to apply, and not messy. Luckily, I came across these at Ulta and decided to try it out. These Maybelline Multi-Use foundation sticks retail for $11.99 USD, and you receive 0.25 oz. of product. There are currently 16 shades. They are actually the first all-in-one foundation sticks that Maybelline has ever made!
These Maybelline Super Stay foundation stick’s have a cream-to-matte foundation on one end, and a precision pointed blender sponge on the other. This makes it PERFECT for traveling! There is no need to bring an extra beauty blender or brush. You can use these to cover, conceal, highlight, and contour. Maybelline claims that these are 24 hr. wearing foundation’s, but I never wear makeup for 24 hrs. to know if that holds true.
I picked up the shade “Toffee” because I knew I would be getting quite a tan being on the beach almost every day. Honestly, this shade ended up matching me perfectly, which doesn’t happen often lol, trust me.
To apply, I just brushed a few strokes across my face and started to blend it in with the sponge on the other side. I felt like it wasn’t spreading evenly with just that sponge, so I went in with a flat top brush which helped buff the product in much better. I loved how natural it looked with just one application.
I tried this foundation stick over the course of two weeks, and tried different techniques to help it last longer and look more flawless.
When wearing this foundation alone with just primer and not setting it, my skin became very oily around my t-zone and started to separate on other areas of my face. I’m pretty sure sweating in high humidity had a lot to do with that though. Setting it with a translucent powder on my t-zone was much better! It lasted hours longer than without using powder, and gave an air-brushed finish.
The only complaint I have about this foundation is the small amount of product that you get. I felt like with just three uses I was half way done with it already. Keep in mind I was only applying a minimal amount each time also. I know I can probably scrape out more product once the stick is done, but I know not many people want to resort to doing that, especially not after only a few uses.
Minus that one issue, I think it’s a great drugstore foundation stick, and perfect for on-the-go. I definitely plan on repurchasing this again.
Have you tried this foundation? Let me know in the comments!
